WHO IS A FRIEND ?

The last post I talked about MONEY (things money can buy) if you’ve not read it, you should.

Today I will be talking about- WHO IS A FRIEND…

WHO IS A FRIEND? 

Friends are other human beings who have actually entered the shell of our life to form a bond with us to attain stability. 

Google defines a friend as “A person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations.” 

Leaving aside what's formal, a friend is someone you love who loves you, someone you respect who respects you, someone you trust, and who trusts you. 

A friend is a partner, not a leader or a follower. 

A friend is one who is aware of how retarded you are and still manages to be seen in public with you. One who will make you laugh till you pee in your pants even though you are in a bad mood. One who will cry for you when you lose YOUR special item? When you don’t have enough money to buy ice cream, they chip in. One whose fingerprint can unlock your phone. One whom you can trust with your ATM pin. One who would never make you cry to be mean.

A friend is one who is trusting, caring, and will stick to you through thick and thin. One whom you can talk anything with and they won’t judge you for that. A small conversation can make you believe what a friend actually is: 

A friend makes you feel that comfortable. As if you are with yourself in the best way. Their company is like a warm coat on a chilly day, a small breeze on the ocean, a wink from a blinking evening star. This friend, your friend, lives inside of you- at some point along the way, and it's hard to define when- you really merged into one luscious person. 

Your good friend is not someone you have to explain much to- they already internalize your life's story. They get it. It's like they become a song in your head- one that you know the lyrics to- one that you pull out and play again and again. There is trust. There is a celebration when good things come their way. They are on FACEBOOK liking all of the important posts and pushing you to break up with that jerk that's treating you wrong- all the while understanding your feelings and needs. 





A friend is someone with whom you just need to be yourself. You don’t even think before saying anything to them. You text them the whole day long, share even the lamest thing you are thinking at the moment. From sharing your crushes to sharing your lamest jokes. At times they can even recognize just from your voice over the phone call that you want to tell something to them but you are not. There comes a point where you need not to even speak, they themselves know what you are thinking or what you may think next. 

A friend is one who doesn't care if you are ugly or boring, but doesn't even think about it; someone who forgives you no matter what you do and someone who tries to help you even when they don't know the degree of the problem you are stuck in. A friend is someone who tells you if you are being stupid but doesn't make you feel stupid. 

             “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” 
Friends are those who INSPIRE, not teach. Teaching people how to live their lives just makes you come across as annoying, making others assume that you think you’re better.

A Friend in anyone’s life plays a huge role in how a person's character is shaped and how a person acts. Finding friends that won’t judge you, will help you achieve your goals, and have the same area of interest is hard. That’s why we see kids sometimes not having friends to hang out with because they haven’t found any that’s not in their family who is:

· Loyal

· Trustworthy

· Willing to tell you the truth even when it’s hard

· Makes you smile

· Is there to listen to you

· Wants the best for you

These are all of the good qualities many of my friends have. The bad qualities that I see in a friend that I don't want people who are:

· Doubters

· Critics

· Lazy

· Hypocrite

· Liar 

A friend is someone for whom you're willing to change your opinions. A friend is someone you look forward to seeing and who looks forward to seeing you: someone you like so much, it doesn't matter if you share interests or traits. A friend is someone you like so much, you start to like the things they like. 

Friends are not those who lecture you on how you should live your life. They aren’t people who teach you how to be a friend
A friend is one who allows you to display your true self to them without fear of judgment. 

There are certain qualities that someone must have to be considered a true friend 

· Loyalty: If your friend abandons you without hesitation as soon as rough times approach, you can't call him a good friend. 

· Trust: If someone is a true friend, there should be a level of trust that is so unique in your relationship. 

· Acceptance: If you're constantly scared of judgment by your friend, then you'll never be able to open up your true personality to them. 

· Honesty: They shouldn't be afraid to tell you when you're doing something they disagree with or something wrong. Likewise, praise and compliments should be sincere rather than purely flattering. 

· Comfortability: I don't know how you could truly be friends with someone you aren't comfortable with. It's both the hard and the fun times that build a strong friendship. 

 A friend is one who knows your past believes in your future and accepts you just as you are. A friend is the one with whom you can share all your personals; good and bad. A friend is the one who you can trust. It will be easy to be a good friend but it will be tough to make good friends. 

 There are two types of friends.
-Few friends will be with you and will care for you and your benefit.
-Few friends will be with you but they will care for their benefit. 

· The first type of friend will be your motivator, mentor, will care for you, will be with you, and will assist you in strange situations, will bring the best out of you. These types of friends are called best friends or good friends. 

· But for the second type of friend you will be their slave and they will make use of your strength and weakness for their benefit. These types of friends are called fake friends or just a friend. 

A friend is someone who will always lead you to good. A friend is someone that has bonded with you. A friend is one who is always there for you. No one wants to be alone. Even though people say to you, “leave me alone”, they just want company. 

If they are down, help them get back up again. When they think they are alone, no they are not alone, ever. You want to know why? 

Because God will always be with you. No matter what. In the bible, God says how a good friend is: 

· Proverbs 18:24 NIV A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. 

· Proverbs 13:20 NIV He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harms. 

· 3 John 15:13 NIV Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 

So never forget, that a friend is someone that will lead you to good. And always remember that God Loves You. 

Your life depends on three things:- People you hang out with, books you read, speakers you hear. 

F: Forgets and forgives you when you are wrong. 

R: Remembers you even if you are not in touch. 

I: Is interested in your life, future, health, and wellbeing. 

E: Enthusiastic about your success as much as his own. 

N: Never gives up on you, talk at your back, or leaves you alone. 

D: Dependable and trustworthy all the time and forever.
