FORGIVENESS

Those who have held grudges against certain people for a long time are some of the most bitter people you can encounter.

They may appear to be fine on the surface, but beneath the surface is a raging inferno of pain, misery, anger, and sorrow that shapes their perceptions of others and influences their interpersonal relationships.

Hello 😊!!Welcome, back to Felinspiremyworld! Hope You stay safe and feel relaxed wherever you’re, glad to have you here again. In the last post, I talked about SHORT AND MEANINGFUL QUOTE if you’ve not read it, you should.

I'm going to talk about forgiveness today. During a children's Bible study time, someone asked, "Why should we forgive people who harm us rather than cut them out of our lives and move on?" Is forgiveness really the best choice?

Yes, forgiveness is always the best option, but we can always choose to cut people out of our lives. However, if we fail to forgive, we will never be able to move on openly because we will be bearing the emotional baggage of past sins or disappointments with us. Bitterness occurs as a result of this. We’ve all been wounded in some way. We've all been hurt in some form. We've all experienced disappointment. We've all felt insufficient and capable.

A girlfriend, a best friend, acquaintance mates, a family member, or someone, for whatever cause, infringed on our peace. Some damage us to prove their worth, others do so in the hopes that we can reciprocate with the same action/reaction, and still, others do so unintentionally.

So, what happens next? Well, we all respond differently in similar circumstances on certain occasions, but in the end, regardless of who you are or how much adrenaline flows when you are hurt, you must forgive whoever has wronged you, regardless of the damage they have caused you. For most of us, though, forgiveness is a daunting challenge. We'd rather cut anyone out of our lives than put up with them. This is a straightforward decision for us. We're cool with it because we believe it will make things easier for us. But how long will you be able to bear such resentment?

How many people are you going to sever ties with?

Do you ever think that we're all capable of hurting a mate, lover, or other people, regardless of our willingness to do so?

Then there's the question of how you'll feel if someone close to you abandons you. Wouldn't it be nice if you could be forgiven?

Matthew 6:14-15

For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. (NIV)

This is it Acknowledge the fact that we're humans & We make mistakes. We're imperfect and this makes us beautiful creatures that way.  Forgive those who have wronged you. It's much easier to say than to do. Yes, but that is how you can improve the world in which you work. Hating someone is a sign of weakness. Those who hold grudges against others are weak and unreasonable. Find a way to see the bright side of whatever wrong someone has done to you.

This can be an eye-opener of what that person can ever do to you later. Understand this and forgive. Just be cautious with them. But instead of hating them, show them, love. And by forgiving, I mean absolving the other of guilt, entrusting the case to God, and moving on.

This does not, however, indicate that we must forget the offence; in most situations, this is beyond our control. We have a tendency to remember how an experience made us feel, and that's well. If we had a friendship with the individual before, we can restart it; if we didn't, we can't. A survivor of a crime is under no duty to become acquainted with the suspect. We leave the decision to the courts and God.

Just remember When a fellow human being hands you failures, setbacks, or unpleasant circumstances, find a way to make something good out of them. That's why they say "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Forsake revenge. Forsake any bad temptations.

Nothing compares to the freedom we feel when we learn to forgive others. When we choose not to forgive, we become slaves to bitterness. We are the ones most hurt by holding on to unforgiveness.

I've found in my life that forgiveness is important to one's soul. Unforgiveness drags you down, hurts you, and causes you pain. When I forgive, I don't think about the marks the perpetrator has left on me, and I think about what comes next after retribution.

If I don't address these issues, it will eventually explode and cause a mess. If I forgive, I will save myself, my family, and my neighbour's.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” ~Mahatma Gandhi.

I know that I need to forgive someone, not for their benefit, but for my own peace of mind. Don’t do it for them, do it for you! –Cathryn Kent

Up until my early twenties, I carried around a lot of anger toward someone in my life. I’d been hurt by a person I trusted, and for a long time in my adolescence, I wanted to hurt them back. But when I tried I couldn't hurt them back.

No one is purely bad, and everyone carries their own pain which influences the decisions they make. This doesn’t condone their thoughtless, insensitive, or selfish decisions, but it makes them easier to understand. After all, we’ve all been thoughtless, insensitive, and selfish at times. Usually, we have good intentions.

We need to learn to let go. We need to be able to forgive, so we can move on and be happy.

This is something I learned the hard way — after years of holding onto anger at a friend that stemmed from my teenage years, I finally let go of this anger (about 5 years ago or so). I forgave, and not only has it improved my relationship with this friend tremendously, but it has also helped me to be happier.

Forgiveness can change your life. It’s not easy. But you can learn to do it.

I advise all readers to cultivate the habit of letting go of the past and forgive one another. See vengeance is a dangerous path and embrace a forgiving heart. We read of how friends turn into enemies so quickly. It is sad how, to no small extent, the victim takes the law into their own hands and uses “killing” as revenge. Were the consequences considered too?

Remember, how you will spend the rest of your life behind bars for that “short period of uncontrolled anger.”

Attempt to forgive all; Take a deep breath, love your life and that of the family; count your blessing; forgive yourself and the offender. You never know how strong you are until you forgive someone who isn't sorry and accept the apology you’ll never receive.

Forgiving doesn't necessarily mean forgetting what one has done to you, it means allowing yourself to move on and let go of the hate. In order to move on with the future, one decides to forgive the mistakes done by people in the past. Moving on is healthy, and also enjoying the future is of utmost importance, so who wouldn't mind forgiving someone?

We all make mistakes, and sometimes other people get hurt because of the mistakes we make. Everyone ends up hurting each other, either intentionally or unintentionally.

So, whoever has caused you pain, forgive them.

Stay courteous!

Stay kind!

You'll be respected!

You'll be happy.
