It's
easy to feel sympathy for someone when they're in pain, but once that feeling
fades, you're left feeling envious of the same person.
Jealousy
is a hideous green creature that attacks each of us at various times in our
lives. When you take a closer look at envy scenarios, you'll notice that they
have their own range of variations and, of course, solutions.
Love
is intense, and hate is even sharper, but jealousy is the sharpest because it
is both love and hate at the same time. It is a negative emotion that causes
feelings of fear, anxiety, and insecurity. Jealousy is a defensive response to
a perceived threat to a cherished relationship, resulting from a situation in
which the partner's association with an occurrence and/or another person is
incompatible with the jealous person's definition of their relationship. Envy
is often used interchangeably with jealousy, but a closer examination reveals
that envy is a type of jealousy.
Hello 😊!!Welcome, back to Felinspiremyworld! Hope You stay safe and feel relaxed wherever you’re, glad to have you here again. In the last post, I talked about the PURPOSE OF FORGIVENESS if you’ve not read it, you should. Today I will be talking about the POISONOUS PLANT (JEALOUSY).
Jealousy is an emotion that refers to thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, worry, and anxiety about a potential loss of status or something of great personal value, particularly when it comes to a human connection. Rage, indignation, inadequacy, helplessness, and disgust are all common emotions associated with jealousy. When we see others doing things better than us, we become jealous. Alternatively, it might be something slightly different, artistic, and revolutionary for us. Along with the excitement, jealousy sets in, and we are unable to appreciate the true beauty of another person's talent. It will also make it difficult for us to appreciate the individual.
Jealousy
has both positive and negative aspects. When used properly, it gives us a
sportsman's spirit and motivates us to better ourselves. Not in the sense of
vengeance. In the negative sense, you'll start hating someone, and if you keep
doing it with anyone, you'll begin to love yourself and be unable to be
positive in your life. You will be surrounded by negativity and will be unable
to recognize your own abilities and inner potential. So, keep an open and free
mind. If the individual really deserves it, show your gratitude and applause.
Don't let jealousy get the best of you.
jealousy
can come in many forms: sibling rivalry, other people’s success compared to our
own, or even within friendships.
Whatever the area it pops up in, jealousy is an emotion that can be hard to handle and can leave us with a sense of inadequacy, lack of worthiness, and anger. These negative emotions can eat us up unnecessarily, and while a lot of jealousy can be for a good reason, most of the time it’s something that we need to control and comes from incorrect assumptions and perceptions about ourselves and others’ intentions.
I have always heard that understanding yourself is the most important aspect of life! this is something I do not believe; life is all about making yourself. We are all talented in some way, but in order to thrive, we must all learn a great deal. We all need to upgrade ourselves, just like any new application or program that requires a new version and constant updates over time, and we as humans have failed to recognize this reality.
We've
bought into the lie that we need to understand more about ourselves, so we've
decided that we're already amazing and just need to see it.
Here's
where the envy comes in: we're envious of others who are amazing at something
we aren't, or who are very poor at something we are but refuse to acknowledge.
We exist in denial in both situations. And we refuse to recognize ourselves for
who we are. We refuse to admit that we aren't fine.
It can be seen very easily at workplaces or schools, that many students/workers feel jealous from the topper, they made it their motivation to top the exam next year and most of them succeed at this, hence many have quoted it's normal if you feel jealous of someone. It's not, it can never be, being jealous of someone and wanting to see others behind you in a success ledger is a sickness.
When
you are jealous of someone, you always compare yourself (consciously or unconsciously)
to that person and perceive that person to be superior to you.
I
used to be envious of people who had friends when I was in primary school
(because I was terrible at making friends), and I would pass judgment on them
despite the fact that they never did anything wrong with me. However, once I
realized the reality, I shifted my attention from them to myself in order to
become a better version of myself.
People who are jealous have low self-esteem and a high degree of fear.
People
who hide their insecurities behind phoney behaviour are frequently the ones who
are easily jealous.
People
who have unreasonable perceptions of themselves and a negative self-concept are
not only afraid of losing, but they are also jealous. As a result, they may try
to undermine, weaken, demean, and exploit their intended target. People who are
envious yearn for praise and acceptance. They need an external source to make
them feel comfortable because they are unsure of their own self-image.
Be
happy for what you have. First, take stock of what you have. Stop comparing
yourself to others' lives. One of the most negative feelings a man can have
against another human being is jealousy. It makes him wish for others' demise
and rejoice as they succumb to defeat.
Jealousy is a flaw in one's personality. It's as if it's a disease. When anyone is ill, they must be loved rather than despised. Give anyone more love if you think they are envious of you. Encourage them to be proud of themselves. That will make them feel good and happy, as well as you. And keep in mind that everything in the world is fleeting! Jealousy, like all other emotions, is a result of human nature. Animals aren't jealous, and they don't reminisce about the past. They actually make the decision to live.
I personally believe jealousy arises as a result of:
1. lack of contentment. How many times have you opened your
social media account and felt resentful of someone's accomplishment? And I've
seen this characteristic in some of my closest friends. They could be happy for
you as long as you don't outperform them. And it's just because we're
dissatisfied with our current situation. We fail to appreciate the wonders that
our lives have to offer, believing that “the grass is still greener on the
other side.” Sure, being content does not imply that you spend your days in
your pyjamas. Until you become resentful or jealous of anyone else's
accomplishments, take a moment to admire and congratulate yourself for the path
you've already completed.
The
glitter isn't all gold. Sure, we're envious and aggressive if we believe anyone
had a convenient way to get it. Sure, some people do, but you don't have to
think about it. Your life, your struggle, your dedication, and your
perseverance are much more valuable. And when it comes to people who have
worked hard to build a business or own a car, your heart should be filled with
gratitude, not bitterness.
2. Lack of faith in our journey: This is one of my personal
favourites. Jealousy and comparison are the most common traits among coworkers.
It's because we're all on the same level, and when one of us succeeds, our tiny
minds are filled with envy and self-doubt. We begin to believe that we are
deserving of more. Instead of seeing them as rivals, we can see them as
lessons. They don't play much of a part in our lives. It all depends on how you
obtain information rather than filling yourself with anger. Have confidence in
your judgment. You'll get it if you remain consistent.
Insecurity
and inefficiency is the primary causes of envy. Jealousy arises from a lack of
mindset and those who begin comparing and competing with you without your
knowledge.
This
is a lower energy vibration that develops in lower minds as a result of a fear
of losing something.
Jealous
people emit negative energy and are detrimental to others' growth.
People
are still envious of someone who has something they don't have but desperately
needs. They still go to extreme lengths to bring or let the other person down to
show their jealousy. They believe that the absence of the other person would
make them feel better.
Jealousy
will make you feel bad, and the person you are jealous of will be able to tell
from your behaviour.
Jealousy
causes you to dislike even close friends. If you begin to compare yourself to
them. If you started comparing their lifestyle to yours, for example. You'll
grow to despise them even more as a result of such similarities. So, instead of
being envious of others' achievements, concentrate on your own and pray for
good for yourself and others, giving you the energy to be good to everyone.
Jealousy
arises when someone seems to have, or we know they have, something better than
we do, and we feel inferior to them. Jealousy's basic nature is to make a
person forget his own blessings in life. Only if somebody else is better than
you would there be jealousy. Jealousy cannot exist if you are alone here.
As
far as I'm concerned, jealousy is not a negative emotion. All will be affected.
What I believe is that it is more important to recognize our own limits. Try to
enjoy the things that make us happy and when we're happy, nothing (envy) will
get to us. We would not be envious of others if we were happy.
Your
guides are your senses and thoughts. Believe in them and stay away from
negative factors.
We
must be careful when it comes to jealousy and envy because many times the root
cause of heinous crimes is envy. We must be on guard and we must thank the Lord
for every small thing that we have. I’ve watched jealousy ruin friendships.
I’ve watched it ruin people’s character.
Jealousy is a poisonous plant.
Remove this seed to avoid the development and spread of other negative
emotions, which will obliterate the ability to deal with things meaningfully
and efficiently.
Jealousy is a simple sin to commit. It's natural to feel like things should be different when you look around at what others have, or maybe what you don't have. Someone may be envious of something they believe they are entitled to, such as a prize, praise for hard work, or better circumstances.
BIBLE VERSE FOR THE WEEK
James
3:14-16 “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts,
do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down
from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and
selfish ambitions exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.”
